The new Skype version will allow users to use bigger photos instead of thumbnails so that making free or low cost phone calls over the internet can be seen as well as to see. The web communications leader will begin public testing of the new version with most focus on video chatting. The new version will also include features that will be very useful for the less technical users like detection of computer settings and easier calls made. Skype, which is constantly under fire by telcos for allowing users to make computer-to-computer phone calls for either free or extremely low rates have so far generated $382 million in 2007, a figure many believed will reach USD$500million by 2008. There are currently over 300 million users of which 12 million of them are simultaneously using it at any time of the day. According to Josh Silverman, the Presidetn of Skype and a veteran in eBay said "Skype users are communicating in many different modes -- often at the same time. We thought it was time for software to take that into account. Now video is really bringing together all those modes of communication." Skype version 4.0 will have high quality video which allows users to chat using full screens instead of the conventional small window by the orner.
