The cracks within the Kedah’s Pakatan Rakyat coalition seemed to be widening and the ruling government is in the verge of collapse. According to Thomas Su, the chairman of the Kedah DAP, the ruling government is weak in handling racial problems in the state while Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak, the Menteri Besar is well aware but not sure what DAP is looking for. He said "I don't understand what the DAP wants. The DAP always says that everyone must respect the law but at the same time the DAP tries to protect people who break the law. If the DAP were not interested in being part of the state government it was for the apex leadership of the party to decide.”
