The Prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that the first stage of the NEM (New Economic Model) will be announced come March 30 and that there would be no delays as claimed by some quarters. He said “Announcements about the model would be made in two stages and the second stage would come during the tabling of the 10th Malaysia Plan. The second stage is part of the 10th Malaysia Plan and slighter after that, depending on the process. We want to engage all stakeholders,” |

The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that he wants the MCA to come up with a solution as soon as possible so that it can continue to be the representative of the Chinese community in the BN (Barisan Nasional). He said "I want a solution. It doesn't really matter whether through elections or an understanding as long as the MCA emerges a credible force to represent principally the Chinese community and Malaysians as a whole," |

Maelle Meurzec, a 21 year old French student in Singapore has added more spice to the Jack Neo scandal claiming that he tried to hit on her when she was filming his movie 5 years ago. Maelle, who was 16 then was acting in the movie ‘I Do, I Do’ when Neo made a move on her. He started with a ‘friendly’ wrap around her shoulders and continued with more aggressive advances and tried to lure her to have dinner at hotels. |

Cik Puan Temenggong Manohara Odelia Pinot and her mother Daisy Fajarina has been ordered to pay RM6 million to the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra in the defamation. The High Court Senior Assistant Registrar Noordura Mohamed Din awarded RM2mil each in aggravated, exemplary and compensatory damages and that the amount was awarded in view of the special circumstances, the position of the prince and the seriousness of the allegations. |
