The Mentri Besar of Selangor, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has called on the critics who said that the Pakatan Rakyat is unable to manage the state ‘should eat their words’ and that despite the ‘turbulence’ they have achieved a level of administrative success. March 8 marks the date where the Pakatan Rakyat has led the Selangor state for 2 years. Speaking to local news portal Malaysian Insider, he said “I am delighted to say we have achieved a level of administrative success despite the ‘turbulence’. Sarawak, which achieved RM8.451 billion in investments, came up on top because of a single aluminium smelter project worth RM6 billion, while Selangor attracted 200 investors last year. This includes reinvestments by existing companies, companies which were consolidating regional operations to Selangor and fresh FDIs. As a result, we’re experiencing a shortage of unskilled labour.” |
