Lack of real leaders in Malaysia 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
There was an article that i read in a local newspaper stating lack of Malaysian leaders... at the same time Malaysian are more followers than leaders. Why? Most of us would have to agree with me that its our education system has failed us but less would even admit to say its our culture.
Our education system is a failure becase we are train to absorb facts. To memorize to learn but never to think. We memorize facts, we memorize historical facts and etc. But sadly we were never made to understand them. The true value of history. Most of us would agree how much we hated the subject Sejarah when we were in Secondary School. Why because of all the dates and facts we have to memorize. But how many of us actually take the intiatiave to understand the true value of history. Why such incidents take place? The purpose? The motivation behind the incident. Most of us take for granted regarding this matter. THe fact is we should think and question all these matter. Sadly speaking, the respond we get from our teacher when such questions were brought up is.. "Itu sejarah..sudah berlake..tak tahulah." Typical isn't it. Did we ever have the discussion or debate regarding these issues...Never..."Cannot finish syllabus".
How many of our Ministers children are educated locally or in a public school system? They would be educated in the private school.. oversea ...more exposure..if our ministers have no faith in our education system, what kind of message or they sending to the public? I don't think the "Big Guns" kids are locally educated ..do you?
Next is our culture..the younger generation would perhaps agree with me on the matter. How many times we hear the statement "People do like that so we also do like that" . When we challenge or question...the respond we get " Why ask so many questions one? just do lar. Everybody also like that".
It takes two to tango. Education failure is failure of the ministers..but at the same time please look in the mirror...before we change other people..change ourself...the mentality and culture should change.. break away and start to think outside the box. You question and you ask ..if you cannot obtained the answer you seek for it..its the journey that brings the whole meaning and not just the end result.

I have been going around asking people to name me one good leader and most could not. We are heading south and we need capable leaders to pull us out in the new world order. Many of the Chinese and indian have left and they are not coming back. The malay have been spoon fed and have not really go through the survival skills. What we have are the bn goons and they have done very well by holding on to power by whatever means. 2008 onward will be bad for all of us.
