Well, matters of funding is extremely controversial. Besides, we have to question the source of such an info. Is George Soros really funding Anwar? Why would he still be interested in the Southeast Asia after so many years, some more short sellings of currencies?
The plunge of the Asian economy in the past is within the confinements of the law, and that whatever tat happened cannot be blamed on anyone. Currency trading is normal, the ones with a lot of funds can definitely manipulate the market. The problem at that time is tat Asian economy lacks foreign reserves, tat is the problem. But... now we have learnt our lesson, George soros may be the one who short sold the asian currencies, but he still has businesses in Malaysia.
Let us assume that he funds Anwar, so what? I think Anwar is smart enough not to be manipulated by him and not to be too reliant on him financially. In fact, i think it will benefit our country and we malaysians. Eventually, George Soros will be the one being manipulated and his investment will be futile in the long run.
